ofthedetectedsingleechoesforthecurrentping(largestcircles)andthethree
previousping(smallercircles).Theviewis“fromabove”.Thecoloursindicate
theechostrength.

TheEchoPositionpaneshowsthepositionwithinthebeamofthe

ping(smallercircles).Thecoloursindicatetheechostrength.Thisisbasically
thesameviewastheFishPosition.howevertheechoesarehereviewedfromthe
sideandnotfromabove.

Checkingtheechogramsettings
Thisprocedureexplainshowyoucancontroltheechogramviews,selectanechogram
tomakeit“active”,andcheckand-ifnecessary-changetheparametersettingsfor
theechogram.

1ObservetheES70echogram.
Ifyouhavetwoormorechannels(transducers/frequencies),observethetabson
theStatusbar.

2Clickoneofthetransducertabs.Observethatonlytheechogramfromtheselected
frequencychannelisshown.
Bydefault,twoechogramsareshownforeachfrequencychannel.Thetop
echogramissurfacerelated,whilethebottomechogramisbottomrelated.Several
echogramtypesareprovided.

Theechogramisrelatedtotheseasurface.Startdepth(upperechogram
boundary)andverticalrange(acrossechogram)aremanuallyselectedbythe
StartDepthandRangebuttonsontheMainmenu.
