Systemdescription
TheSimradES70isahighaccuracyprofessionalsingle-andsplit-beammultipurpose
shnder.Itisdesignedfortheprofessionalsherycommunity.Thelatestinnovations
incomputertechnologyhavebeenusedtosatisfytheincreasingneedsfromour
demandingcustomers:"Topperformanceatanydepth,andeasytooperate!"
TheSimradES70isamodularsystem,thebasiccongurationconsistsofacomputer,
atransceiverandatransducer.Usingthisbasiccongurationyoucanstartwitha
simplesinglefrequencysinglebeamsystem.Later,youcanexpandthesystemtoa
multi-frequencyechosounderusingsingleand/orsplit-beamtransducers.Youcan
choosefromawidevarietyofadvancedsoftwarefunctions,transducers,andtransceivers.
MultiplefrequenciesareavailablefortheSimradES70.Thisisbecausedifferent
frequenciesandtransducersareusedfordifferentsheries.Mackerel,Tuna,Anchovies,
Herringandotherschooledsharebestmeasuredusingahighfrequencysystem,
typically120or200kHzdependingonthedepth.Cod,Pollock,Seithandotherbottom
shcanbemeasuredusing70or38kHzsystems,while18kHzisusedfordeepwater
species.Anytwooftheavailablefrequenciescanbeassembledinthesametransceiver
cabinet.Eachfrequencyisoperatedseparatelyaswithindividualechosounders,or
simultaneouslytoseethefrequencyresponsefromtheshontwodifferentfrequencies.
Youcanadduptoatotalofsixfrequenciesonthescreenatthesametime,oronseparate
monitors,usingavailablesoftware,computertechnologyanddisplaymonitors.
WiththeSimradES70,Simradintroducesanewwaytopresentoptionalinformation.
Wecalltheminformationpanes.Withaclickontherequestedicononthetopbar,the
informationyouwishtoaddtotheechogramispresentedinadedicatedframe.Youcan
placetheframewhereveryouwant,andyoucanchangeittoanysizeandshape.Itis
eventransparent,soyouwillnotlooseanyinformationfromtheechogrambehindit.
